AI dealership software startup Flai announced on October 6 that it has closed a $27 million Series A led by Base10 Partners. Participants include dealer groups Friedkin Group and Findlay Automotive, Toyota Ventures, Y Combinator and First Round Capital.

The team is about 40 people; onboarding takes 10 days from signing, and staff must respond to customers within 20 minutes.
CEO Ari Polakof says about half of new revenue comes from referrals by existing customers. Dealer groups invested in the round: Friedkin Group and Findlay Automotive are both customers and shareholders.
