Charlie Guo introduces GPT-Image-2.6 — Sunburst and Flare — and new API features.
Flare generates images faster than previous models; Sunburst gives more control for dense infographics and complex prompts.
New markup feature: send an image with a circled area or annotations plus a description, and the model makes specific detailed edits.
SVG and GIF support added; SVGs scale without losing sharpness and shapes and colors can be edited.
For GIFs: describe a scene and a small movement; a sprite sheet captures the poses and its frames are stitched into a looping GIF.
