Apple’s 27.2 Update Brings Siri AI to Five More Languages
Apple released its 27.2 updates on October 26, adding French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish support to Siri AI, previously available in English only; Apple said Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese will follow by the end of the year.

What happened
Version 27.2 is a synchronized update across Apple’s platforms, covering iOS, iPadOS, macOS and more, and the first major update since iOS 27 launched in September. In the update, Siri AI’s language support expands from English only to six languages, with four more due by the end of the year.
Built on Apple Intelligence, Siri AI draws on personal context from messages, emails and photos to find information and carries out multi-step tasks, such as batch editing and sharing a set of photos; onscreen awareness lets it answer questions or take actions related to what is on screen. The update also adds conversation recall, so Siri AI can carry context from earlier conversations, and access to more personal sources, such as Messages attachments, Calendar attendees and voicemails.
The expansion still has limits: Siri AI is currently unavailable in the European Union and not available to users under 13; even after Traditional Chinese support arrives, the assistant remains unavailable in mainland China. Apple said Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese will join by the end of the year.
