GPT-6's Intelligent UI Reaches Free ChatGPT: Answers Now Come With Buttons, Charts and Widgets
According to BetaNews, starting Oct. 8, free and Go ChatGPT users began receiving GPT-6 inside the Chat tab, along with Intelligent UI: model answers can now include clickable buttons, charts, forms and interactive mini-tools. Paying subscribers on Enterprise, Business, Pro and Plus plans got the update a day earlier.

What happened
OpenAI is rolling its new GPT-6 model out to ChatGPT's entire weekly audience, which the company puts at over 1.2 billion people. Free and Go users started receiving GPT-6 (the Luna build) with Intelligent UI on Oct. 8, one day after paying tiers.
The core change in Intelligent UI is that the model decides how its answer looks. Comparisons can land in side-by-side columns, concepts can arrive as clickable diagrams; in OpenAI's demos, a seven-speed bike breaks down into tappable parts explaining each system's job, and a roast-lamb dinner plan comes with a shopping calculator that adjusts with guest count plus a tick-off cooking schedule.
Under the hood, answers rely on a library of native streamable interface components, and a compiler converts layouts into on-screen elements mid-generation, so parts of the interface appear progressively. Model training now scores layout, interactivity and visuals — generated screens are rated on completeness, clarity and usefulness — though OpenAI concedes the model's design sense still has room to improve.
